|Recommended: YesJust getting into it — We are moving in and the maintenance staff have been extremely responsive as have the property staff. The grounds are clean and the residents seem nice. However, we are discovering that the apartment is really not updated, and in particular the carpet is gross. It was cleaned, but it is not new and it needs updating. If I were them I would put laminate on the floor so it can be cleaned well on a regular basis. The rest of the apartment is good enough. It's clear it was not well cleaned before we moved in so we are going to have to hire someone to come in and improve it.

|Recommended: YesThe Lex Experience — Going into month 3 here and it's been enjoyable. Leasing staff and maintenance are very responsive. It's clear these apartments are older construction-wise, but the updated kitchens are nice. I do wish appliances were newer.
The pool is nice, neighbors friendly enough, and it's not noisy minus walking water through the pipes you can hear at random but again these staff cant control the literal construction of the buildings.
Hot tub is filthy but this may be because it was off season and they have not scheduled a cleaning, but it shouldn't be littered with trash ever.
The new fitness space is definitely a highlight of the community All the equipment you need for not a box gym. I do wish there was a clubhouse space.
For the price of these units, I believe it's mostly due to the neighborhood and less available units, however for those who like a more modern updated feel to their space, The Lex could be priced out by newer apartments going up.
Overall 4 5 experience with price to overall value dirty hot tub accounting for the missing point.

|Recommended: YesFeels like home — We absolutely love our stay here. No issues, friendly staff and neighbors. The commute to work is very convenient and everything is close. I love how it is tucked away from the noise.

|Recommended: YesNice place to call home — Great layout with newly remodeled and upgraded finishes except interior walls and doors-nice but showing their wear .
Beautifully maintained grounds and amenities. Been here for two months and it’s been very peaceful and quiet.
Loving the proximity to some great restaurants and shopping, plus the canal for daily rides or walks.
The best part of this place is the staff. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. They’ve really helped me settle in to my new home.

|Recommended: YesLife at The Lex — My husband and I have now made our home at Lex for 12 months. As we have stated in all previous surveys we have been asked to complete, leasing staff are continually top notch, with only one or two hiccups in the past year due to misunderstandings, which are certainly normal from time to time. We both feel like valued tenants and we are proud to call The Lex our home.
We are happy with the maintenance staff and have never met even one person on the staff who wasn’t professional, friendly, helpful and kind. A few times we have had to request maintenance calls repeatedly on the same issue because it wasn’t completed fully or properly the first time. Regardless, we are pleased with the maintenance staff, as well, and are thankful we have them here to help when something is in need repair or general “fixing” throughout the complex and or in our unit.
We do wish a dog washing station could be implemented for use by all tenants.
We do wish there were more “dog-friendly” grassy areas available for their potty needs, especially in the summer when it is simply I’m possible for them to walk on the burning pavement and or rocks without their paw pads becoming injured and painful.
BOTTOM LINE We love The Lex

|Recommended: YesBest apartments — We move a lot and these are the best apartments I’ve been in so far. The office staff are polite and welcoming. They tend to our concerns or needs without hesitation. The maintenance staff are amazing at responding to tickets and solving problems. The community is clean and secure. Only complaint are the thin walls in some rooms so you can hear everything from your neighbor if they aren’t careful.
